Miss my running.

I have been sick all week long! I've only ran 4 miles this week. Man, I miss it. Tomorrow I have the Pioneer 5k race though. After that, I'm planning on doing 7 more miles, to make my 10. I'm planning on pushing through it, no matter how I'm feeling!I have to because I only have 3 more weeks until my Half Marathon!!
Here's a pic from my 5k last weekend. My boy ran with me. His time was 31 minutes, mine was 35. He's awesome!!
Even though I've lost over 20 lbs., every time I see a pic of myself, all I see is FAT. But, I know I'm on my way to being thin and I know I'll get there!

10 miler and going green!

Sunday I did my long run, 10 miles. I ran almost nonstop the first 9 miles, but by the 10th mile, I walked most of it. It was very difficult!  I had bought a Lululemon Ampiphod hand held water bottle to use for my long runs.
But, silly me...I didn't bring it with me! So I ran 10 miles with NO WATER. That is probably why it was so hard! That was a big mistake that I won't make again!
I ran on a nice, new road. It was flat and wide. It was perfect!
I was incredibly sore afterwards, I could hardly walk, and the steps were torture! But I'm all better today and can't wait to do it again! This weeks long run is 8 miles.
I'm also going green! I've been watching documentaries and doing some research on all of the chemicals and toxins in our household cleaners and even beauty products, etc.
I got rid of all of that poison and have replaced it with healthy, natural stuff. I found some recipes, so made a bunch of it. I wish I had done this years ago! It's much cheaper and SO much better for us! I heard that indoor pollution is worse than outdoor pollution. Wow! Well, it won't be that way in my house any longer!

Run with all your Hart

This was a very sad, but joyful race. Sarah Hart was brutally murdered while she was on her run, in June. This 4 mile race was in her memory. Every mile represented each of her 4 children. (The 4th one, she was still pregnant with.)
There were 3,000 people there! I ran with my friend, Christie. http://changingfromfattofit.blogspot.com/
My time was 45 minutes, which is an 11.25 average mile.
It was a beautiful day and perfect weather. I know Sarah was looking down on all of us!

The next morning we both ran 8 miles, at about 11 min miles. Of course, she's crazy fast, so I appreciated her slowing down for me!

8 miles and Brazilian Butt Lift

Yesterday was my long run! It was awesome! It was all on the treadmill, which I feel is cheating in a way, but 8 miles is 8 miles! At 5 miles I didn't know if I could keep going, but I HAD to do it. When I determine to do something, I do it, no matter what! So I ran another mile, walked 1 minute, and so on. I watched Beverly Hillbillies as I ran, which helped pass the time! I wasn't even sore afterwards, which surprised me!
This is after 8 miles, ready to pass out, but still smiling!

I have started doing this! Brazilian Butt Lift. I've heard great things about it, so we shall see!!
