25 lbs. gone FOREVER!

As of this morning, I have lost 25 lbs!I am SO crazy excited! I don't remember the exact date I started my weight loss journey, It was either May or June. So, it's been a few months. My weight loss has been incredibly slow. There were times when the scale would stay the same, no matter what. If I ran 20 miles and didn't eat anything unhealthy all week, the number stayed the same. It was very frustrating and discouraging.
But I kept going. I was SO sick of being fat. Nothing in my closet fit anymore, I just felt gross! I knew I had to keep going, because I was never going back again!
So I kept on. Knowing that if I keep running, keep eating right, the weight HAD to come off! And it has!
Now I'm only 14 lbs. away from my wedding day weight. And that's been 6 years!
My ultimate goal is to lose at least 33 more. I do a strength training dvd every day too, I know that is helping build muscle, and it's so much fun to see muscles I never knew I had!
I know everyone says this, but it's so true; if I can do it, anyone can! I went from being fat, rarely exercising, couldn't run for 2 minutes without thinking I'm going to die- to finally feeling good about myself, fitting into my clothes again and getting ready to run a half marathon!!
Don't give up. No matter what. YOU CAN DO IT!! You're worth it!!

    1. I know it'll get harder the closer I get to my goal, but I'm not stopping until I get there!

  3. Awesome! Those stuck scales are always hard to take, but better to unstick them with hard work and keep those numbers moving down, rather than give in and let them fly back up!

  5. OH WOW!Congratulations you look awesome.I just ran across your blog searching the internet for some imspiration. I am surely inspired. I myself lost 30 lbs last year but when I moved in with my fiancee all my hard work went out the drain. Now I find it impossible to loose the 30lbs again. But who knows I might just give running a chance.

    1. So glad I could inspire you, Gloryvee! You know that since you did it before, you can do it again! I thought it was impossible too, but have found that it's really not. You should definitely try running. I know that has helped me more than anything! Thanks so much!

  8. AWESOME!!! You get fit in the gym (or in our case, on the road pounding the pavement), you lose weight in the kitchen. Way to go on both counts! I rarely write about weight (I recently stayed at the same weight but went DOWN a pants size during the final weeks of marathon training) but I do celebrate those successes too!

    1. You don't look like you need to lose weight!! That's awesome that you went down a pants size before your race, definitely something to celebrate!!

  10. That's a lot of weight!!! Good job!!! The rest will be gone before you know it... Although I am having a hard time figuring out where you'd get 13 pounds to get rid of! You look great!
