I've been wanting to update it for awhile, but had no idea where to start! I was reading my friend Hanna's blog at bouffeebambini, I loved the look of hers, so I looked around and found out that Kim, at 733design designed hers.
I gave her a few of my ideas, and this is what she came up with! Kim was great to work with. I'm thrilled with it!!
Saturday was my LONG run! I ran 17 miles. My longest run to date! It was fabulous!
I normally go to a park for my long runs, but it's 30 minutes away, and honestly I just didn't feel like driving. So, I decided to run around my neighborhood, about 2 miles around and through the streets.
A funny thing happened... as I was running this guy stopped me and asked about my running. (This is where I run throughout the week too, for my shorter runs.) He then said "my mom lives right here (pointing to a house), and she said there must be something wrong with that girl cause she runs all the time".
I just laughed!! I've never been told that before!
Wow, what a huge compliment!! :)

I love the new site!! So pretty!!! My friends tell me I am crazy and that they wish they could be as crazy so I take it as a compliment every time!

ReplyDeleteI am known around here as "the crazy running lady"!! There is one man who will say, "nuthin's chasin' ya so what ya runnin from?!" I've had people yell the darnedest things from car windows. I live in a rural area where we really don't know the neighbors well and I don't think these people realize that I'm in my 50s! Sometimes I think I should stop and tell them about what running has done for me!
A few years ago, my birthday fell on Sunday so I looked for a half marathon to run on my birthday. A lot of people commented on why I would do something like "that" instead of something "fun"! Well, to me that half marathon was a lot of fun!! An Adidas rep even gave me a little backpack and pair of gloves!! (of course, I told anyone who would listen that it was my birthday!)
Every weird comment makes for a good running story!!
