My weekend was FULL! Saturday was the KY Derby. I've lived here for over 20 years, and have still never been! I would love to someday though. I mean, how much fun would it be to dress up and wear a beautiful hat, like my friend Charity got to do!

She is freakin gorg!! |
There was no running for me this weekend. I can't even describe how much I MISS my long runs! I've still been running 3-5 miles a few days a week, but haven't run long since my marathon! That must change.
I have to share with you something I made this weekend, because it was SO good, and everyone loved it.
Cinnamon Roll Casserole
It was pretty amazing! Of course there is nothing at all healthy about it, but I only had a very small piece.
What did you do this weekend?
Don't forget to enter my Feetures Socks giveaway! Ends Tuesday!

YES THE KY DERBY MUST BE ON YOUR BUCKET LIST
ReplyDeleteYes!! Hopefully next year!
DeleteThat cinnamon roll casserole looks delicious! We'd love to go to the KY Derby at some point too since Allan's parents are both from Kentucky.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's right! I hope y'all do sometime!
DeleteI did watch it on TV!! Too bad is was raining this year! I love a long run on the weekends!! Beautiful weather in MD this past weekend so I spent most of my time outside:) I enjoyed shopping in Georgetown with a few of my daughters!
ReplyDeleteI know, the weather was awful! I love long runs on weekends too. Hopefully I can get back to it on Saturday. Sounds like you had a great weekend too!
DeleteI watched it on TV for the 1st time this year! I was intrigued because I toured Winstar Horse farm when I was in Lexington for the Run the Bluegrass! The casserole looks delish! Btw, after your post on being a low runner and comparing yourself, I realized I too had been sabotaging myself with negative thinking. I ran a 5k race yesterday and told myself I could PR. I did and by 30 sec! Also, after I got home, I found out I had won my age group and there were 35 in it! I've never even come close to placing! So there's the power of positive thinking! You WILL bust 30:00!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that you toured Winstar. I would love to do that.
DeleteWow!! Positive thinking is so powerful! Congrats on the PR and winning AG!! What a huge accomplishment!!
I love the entire outfit Charity has on! I want that dress! So gorgeous! I have never watched the KY Derby, but it is on my bucket list! I pinned the recipe for the cinnamon roll casserole so I won't lose the recipe! I told my husband about it and showed him the pictures above. He almost ran to the store for the ingredients! Haha! I'm excited to try it out! My weekend consisted of a 10 mile run in the cold/rainy/windy Iowa weather! It sucked, but I got it done! Went to a few local events to support the YMCA and the animal rescue effort. Then got to celebrate my husband and my six year dating anniversary! :) I sure love my guy!
ReplyDeleteI know, isn't it beautiful?!! Ok, so next year you need to come here and we can run a marathon together and then go to the derby. Deal? :)
DeleteI'm sure y'all will love that recipe! I'm going to make it again this weekend for our youth group. Woohoo on 10 miles, even in crappy weather! I'm so glad you have a good man. :)
Yeah! :) That would be AWESOME! Is the Marathon on a Saturday? I don't to Sunday Marathons!
DeleteThat casserole looks amazing and I love your friends outfit!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty amazing! :)
DeleteYum! That looks so good! And your friend is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhen are you getting back to those long runs? :)
Yum! That looks so good. Please do not share the recipe. ;-) I don't need that kind of temptation. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat casserole looks SO yummy!!!! You can message me the recipe if you want =)
ReplyDeleteHi Katie!! I found you here from your Twitter follow, and have to say that I LOVE your blog!! And, all of my boys are crazy about anything cinnamon roll-ish, so I can't wait to make your recipe!!
