Week 8 Chicago Marathon Training and the Big Four Bridge

Good Morning, my friends!

I hope y'all had a fabo weekend! Mine was pretty amazing!
Saturday I ran 13 miles. I can't believe Chicago is only 68 days away!! Yes, I'm counting down the days.
Saturday night we had about 25 teenagers over for a Back to School party. Lots of work, but it was fun!

Doing the Cupid Shuffle
Then Sunday was finally my day to relax! My honey and I went to the Big Four Bridge in Louisville. They have recently turned it into a walking bridge, from an old railroad truss bridge. It is awesome!!

If I lived a little closer, I would be running here. I can't wait to go back in the evening sometime. I'm sure the sunset would be gorgeous!

Maybe this is common, but I've never seen this before. Locking down toilet paper?? Weird. I guess people will steal anything!

Tell me something you did this weekend!

  2. Those pics of the bridge were beautiful. I ran the Biggest Loser race in Chicago and chatted with Jerry (previous contestant). Absolutely motivational to see all of these people who have lost over 100 lbs. each. 68 days to go, seems unreal!

  6. Wow, TP theft must be a problem in Louisville. A friend of mine manages the Joann Fabrics in St. Matthews and they have had to rig up a zip tie lock on theirs. Crazy. I love BIg Four Bridge. I was just telling Michael the last time we were by it that I wanted to run over it.

  10. I have noticed the toilet paper locking especially in college towns... I also count the days until my races, but sometimes I forget about it and then look on the countdown right before the race and it freaks me out a little, but it is a lot of fun.
