I usually only talk about my long runs here, so I thought I would share my workouts during the week. As you know, I'm training for the Chicago Marathon, and unfortunately my weekly runs just aren't what they're supposed to be! But I still feel very confidant that I'll be ready.
Monday I met my girlfriend at the park and we ran 2 hilly miles.
The crazy thing about this run was that a few times we had to stop so she could dig bugs out of my eyes! Haha! Isn't that disgusting? I eat bugs all the time as I'm running, but I've never had them fly into my eyes and get lodged there. Ewww! Only a true friend would get bugs out of your eyes for you.
Tuesday night I took a spin class.
Taking my first spin class a few months ago was one of the best things I've ever done! I love it! If you haven't taken one, YOU SHOULD!!
Last night I was planning on going to the track to run, but by the time I got there, it was almost dark and they were getting ready to lock it up. So, I came home and ran 3 on the good ol' treadmill.
Husby bought me a 64 oz. water jug! Honestly, I've had a hard time getting all my water in every day. I feel like I drink water all day long, but sometimes I do forget. And it's annoying to keep refilling my 16 oz bottle all day. So, he bought me this honkin jug! I just fill it up in the morning, and empty it by bedtime. So far, so good!
And last but not least, week 1 on Medifast was a success! 8 lbs gone, baby!! I'm on my way! I'm really not having a hard time at all. Well, the only hard thing has been giving up my ice cream. I'm definitely going through withdrawal. Kill me now!!
