These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things...

Ahhh, I love The Sound of Music.
Here are a few more of my favorite things.

White Chocolate Raspberry creamer. I look forward to this every fall. I might stock my refrigerator with it because I know it's seasonal and I don't wanna run out! This stuff is like heaven.

Have I mentioned that I love knee socks? Love. Especially when they look like candy corn.
I will totally be wearing these for my Great Pumpkin 10k!! I got them here!.

This precious baby. She is my 3rd (and final) daycare baby. I'm in love! She is the sweetest, happiest, smiliest (is that a word?), cuddliest baby ever!

Zipfizz! Julie and I sampled and bought some of this at the expo last week. I've tried this kind of thing before and have never noticed a difference in energy or anything. I figured this would be the same way. Just to prove that I was right, I drank a glass at 10 pm. Yea, I was wide awake for the next 2 hours!! I went from being tired and ready to sleep, to full of energy and sleep was the last thing on my mind!
I really like the taste. I don't like Nuun, thankfully it doesn't taste like. It didn't make me jittery either. The only 'bad' thing about it is it has splenda in it. Some of my facebook friends told me how bad splenda is for you. I've never had any side effects from it whatsoever, so I need to do some research on that. I don't want to put poison in my body.

And my MOST favorite thing right now??
The Chicago Marathon is 9 DAYS AWAY!!
This time next week I'll be packing (and freaking out), getting ready to go (and freaking out), and wishing the parents would hurry and pick up their kiddos, so I can leave (and freaking out)!!
I never would've even considered running Chicago if Amanda hadn't asked me to join her. She told me all about Ronald McDonald House, the charity she runs for. Thanks to her, I decided to run for them too. I can't wait to hang out with her and her cute kiddos!

I'm also super excited about meeting the 3 Cheap Runners! And experiencing Pinkberry for the first time. :)
I've committed to raising $1000, and have $300 left to reach my goal. Please help me by donating here! Thank you!

Tell me one of your favorite things right now!

  3. Please make sure when you are doing your research on Splenda that you read mostly articles that cite their research. Try not to believe articles that are strictly an authors opinions. My findings are that Splenda can effect people differently and the adverse effects are linked to high levels of sucralose intake (or a low tolerance for it...the mechanism through which Splenda causes these effects isn't currently known). Everything in moderation. I believe that if you haven't seen adverse effects, you are fine to eat it....as long as you don't eat a lot of it as it does make you crave more sugar and can mess with your insulin levels as well as decreasing your good bacteria in your gut. A zip fizz isn't going to hurt you....just don't drink 10 every day.

My favorite thing right now is the house salad at Zaxbys! Yum...if I can get up the energy to go out, I'm taking the kids there for lunch. :)

  9. maybe I will see you in Chicago, I will be one of 45000 so who knows. I LOVE the pumpkin spice creamer but since I had to give up lots of foods, I do not know if I can still use it. When it hits the shelf her in Canada, I will be looking for sure. I am writing my blog today about my thoughts for Chicago and packing for an away race, especially with all my food issues. What is the one thing not to forget for an away race? I will post a link to your blog on my race recap post so my friends can read your recap as well. Just in case, I am wearing a royal blue, we Run for Boston T-shirt with a yellow Canadian flag on it.

    2. I am in H too! I might change to a bright pink tank as it is suppose to be humid and maybe wet. My biggest challenge is what to wear. I hope the weather forecast changes, I hate running in the rain. I wish there was away to meet up for sure, it would be great. Have a great race!

  10. I watched The Sound of Music a gazillion times as a kid! The best! We even went and climbed the mountain and I spun around singing (we had friends in Austria-didn't go there just for me to sing on the mountain, lol)!

Ok, not to sound creepy, but dang girl! You have amazing legs! You can definitely pull off candy corn knee highs :)

    So excited for your marathon!!!
