20 mile treadmill run!

Saturday was a new 'first' for me, I ran 20 miles on my treadmill! The most I've done before was 18.
I like to watch Netflix while I'm running, and had just finished Orange is the new Black, so was looking for a new series to watch, and found this one.

It is SO good! It really made those miles fly by!
At mile 12 my legs were starting to hurt and I seriously considered stopping. I got off the tm for about 5 minutes. But that was all the time I needed to talk myself into getting back on and finishing. And the craziest thing happened, I started feeling good again, and had no problem getting to 20. I knew if I had more time I could've done 26.2- I was feeling that good! That is a goal someday, to run a marathon on my treadmill.
It took me about 4.5 hours, which is under a 13 min. mile. I was very happy about that!

Saturday night we went out to a sushi restaurant. Which I love ALMOST as much as ice cream. Almost.
Edamame and sushi= heaven
Tonight I'm going to a new (to me) boot camp class! I decided to take this class instead of spin, just for something different. Should be fun!!
One last thing, I've told you guys about my twinnie's amazing cake making skills, here is her latest cake. This pic is seriously the background on my phone! I just look at it, and it makes me all kinds of happy!!

Today is the last day to enter my giveaway for a free Spartan race entry! Enter here

What's the longest you've ran on the treadmill?
Do you like sushi?

  3. I don't think I've ever gone more than 6 miles on a treadmill. If I had one at home, I'd be on it longer! But at the YMCA, it automatically shuts off after 60 minutes!

    That cake is the CUTEST!

And I love, love, love, love, love SUSHI! One of the things I miss most while pregnant!

    1. Mine shuts off automatically after 99 minutes. It's a pain restarting it all the time.
Oh, I can't imagine going without sushi! But it sure would be worth it for a baby! :)

  4. I've done 8 on the treadmill and wanted to stick a fork in my eye. I don't have a tv accessible where my treadmill is.

I used to love sushi before I became vegan. I may try to recreate my favorite one with tofu and tofutti cream cheese, the Godzilla: cream cheese and tuna wrapped in sushi rice and a nori sheet, tempura battered and deep fried. Served with a spicy sauce (it was brown, not wasabi). My second favorite was a smoked trout.

    Go vegan, stay vegan.

  12. 20 miles on the treadmill is crazy!! I wish I could do that - might make bailing on long runs harder! The most I have ever run on a treadmill was 9 (I think) and I was miserable!!

  14. Long runs on the treadmill are no joke but having a show to watch helps the time pass by. Pretty Little Liars got me through all my long runs last fall!
