Spills and scarves

As I'm sitting here, I'm watching Hoda and Kathie Lee (even though Kathy Lee annoys me to NO END), and they're getting ready to do a segment on how to fall without hurting yourself. They're going to have a 'professional stumbler' on. Do what? I didn't know such a person existed!
If only this had been on 2 days ago, maybe I could've been a little more graceful when I fell.

Thankfully, I had just finished my 3 mile run. I actually tripped over my front steps, as I was running back into the house! My little daycare girl was SO sweet. She was very concerned. :)

In other news, Saturday I ran 15 miles on my treadmill. This Saturday I'll be doing another long run on my tm, but then after that it's going to start warming up, just in time for my 31 miler. I just don't think I could do that indoors!
A few days ago I won an awesome prize from Kim. It's a scarf organizer. You have no idea how badly I needed this!! Here is my before and after. I love it!
Hope you all are having a fabulous week!!

Tell me about a fall you've had! (You know, so I don't feel so clumsy!)

  1. That scarf organizer is fantastic! And I am a very clumsy person too. I fell down the stairs last year and managed to fracture a vertebrae.

  2. I fell twice last summer. The first time was on a sidewalk where one section was higher than the one before it. I scraped my right knee, elbow, forearm, and the heel of my hand. I try to avoid sidewalks because they are so easy to trip on.
The second time I fell was when I was running with a group early in the morning. It was Art Fair weekend and several streets in the downtown were closed for the Art Fair. We were running through the art fair which was all set up but not open yet. I tripped on an electrical cord that was laying across the street. I never saw it. The others all stopped and were asking if I was ok. (I was fine, just embarrassed) Then my friend asked, "Is Garmie ok?" (Garmie is what I call my Garmin) Yes, Garmie was fine too!

    1. Oh, bless your heart! I was glad no one was around when I fell! I love that they asked if Garmie was ok. That's very important! ;)

31 miles on the TM - I can't even imagine. I'm so excited for warm weather for the weekend long runs... even if its in rain.
Hope your knee heals up... your little nurse is adorable :)

    1. Yea, isn't that crazy? Who ever decides to be a professional stumbler?? She is also a fitness instructor, so maybe that's just a side job. Lol!

  10. I fell sideways on my bike when I was STANDING STILL. I lost balance because a foot was still clipped in and I sliced my leg on the chain ring. I needed 12 stitches and had to be sidelined from marathon training for two weeks :(
