5 Things Friday!

Happy Friday!

I'm linking up with Clare for today's post.

 1. I've had a glorious week alone! My fam is at Disney World with my husband's dad. I was not invited, but that's quite alright with me, I love being alone. Last night I went out with my adorable and sweet Mother in Law.
After dinner we went to my fave store. On Monday I'm going to Hilton Head for the week with Charity, and I desperately needed some shorts and a swimming suit. I detest trying clothes on. Ugh, it's so depressing. I've gained 10 lbs., and I can sure tell. :(
I have to share this funny moment. My MIL was looking at some pics on my phone, and I totally forgot that I had a ummm...how do I say this...'private' pic on there. Well, she saw it. Awkward!!!! All I could say was "oops, sorry!"

2. Charley knows where to get food from! And my sweet Bailey Boo loves to share hers!

3. So, I've been sick all week. I haven't been to the dr, but I think it's a sinus infection. I've been through a million of these kleenex, and they are amazing! They really are cool, and feel oh so good on a very sore nose!
4. Y'all know I love making jam. These are my latest, Lemon Blueberry Jam. When I used to sell jams, these were everyone's favorite. I'd be glad to share!!

5. Tomorrow will be half marathon #7!! I'll be doing the Run the Bluegrass, in Lexington. It's a beautiful course, going through many thoroughbred horse farms. It is known for it's hills though! I did it last year and it is super hilly. Last year my time was 2:34, so I'm just hoping to beat that this year!
Tonight the lovely Jules and I will be going to the expo to pick up our packets. I have so many friends running this race, and I can't wait to meet them all!
Of course the weather will be horrible though. It'll be in the 30's, with a 90% chance of rain!! Oh well, it is what it is.
Who else is running or racing this weekend?
Do you like trying clothes on?

I'd rather just buy them, and try them on at home, and then return them if they don't fit. Weird, I know!

  1. Girl, you're beautiful seriously! BUT... I get the whole hating trying on clothes thing too! I haven't bought a new swimsuit in 4 years cuz I can't stand it! I rarely go clothes shopping...
That jam looks AMAZING!!! If I lived closer (like next door) to you I would totally sneak one off to my refrigerator!! ;)
Good luck with your half tomorrow!! I'm so jealous of all the miles you've been running lately!! I'm up to 2 consistently tho! lol... stupid injuries anyways... ;) Slow and steady I guess!
Have fun at the expo!! :)

    1. You're so sweet, Z. Thank you. I'm determined one of these days I'll actually love swimsuit shopping. :)
If you lived next door, you would totally be my taste tester too!!
Injuries do suck. But you'll get back there, girl! xoxo

  2. I'm not racing this weekend, but I wish you all the best of luck! :)

And I HATE trying on clothes. Even after I had lost a decent amount of weight, it was so difficult for me. Sizes are all different, the different cuts of shirts, pants, etc. is frustrating, and more. I agree with you about buying the clothes, trying them on at home, and then returning them! That way I can cry at home and no one will know. Sad, but true.

    1. I am the same way!! I actually love shopping online, that's my favorite way to do it. I also have such a hard time since I'm so tall, it's not easy! Thanks darlin!

    2. I'm trying this new thing that one of my friends found! She LOVES it! It asks A TON of questions about your body and body type, personal preferences, etc. It's called Stitch Fix. Not sure if you've ever heard of it, but I have scheduled my first fix for after my baby is born! My friend says that she hasn't been sent anything that didn't fit her! And you can change your preferences, size, etc! Check it out and let me know what you think! Here's my referral link: https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/3555155

  4. Good luck - I've only heard great things about that race!!! I need to check it out one year!
You weren't invited with your husband? That's a bummer! I'd sneak & go anyways just because I love Disney that much - not because I love family - haha! :)
I've gained 30 lbs (thanks hormones) in the past year so I REALLLLYYYYY hate trying on clothes.

I wasn't invited, but I sure needed a break, so was happy to have time alone! Gaining weight just sucks!!

  5. I have my first race of the season this weekend! It's a low-key, small local 10K with my running club. It's gonna rain, most probably (BOO), but I'm still excited to go!

  10. That's hilarious that she found that picture!

I love alone time as well, but that's kind of rude for him to invite all the rest of the family and not you! I'm glad you had a great time on your own.

  11. Comfort comes in the form of the beautifully upholstered reclinable deck seats
and bow seats, and a drive. The old art of stealth in carp
fishing seems to be as dead as the dodo on most
carp waters today and it seems to me that the average carp angler is so manically driven to get
in a swim set up and cast out they have no idea it is far
better to think like the fish and not an angler first and truly give carp the respect they deserve that will guarantee to give them the
catches their strive so manically for. Bait casting are multiplying reels, with the spool mounted above the rod.
