My long run this weekend was 11 miles and I decided to do that Friday, so I could sleep in on Saturday.
I also need to remember to start carrying my water with me. I run at a park and usually run 5 miles before going back to my car for water and fuel. But in this humidity I need water a lot more often than every 5 miles! This drinking fountain was a huge relief. Pretty sure I drank nonstop for about 10 minutes.
Since I had time alone I decided to go do a little shopping. I've been loving cute summer dresses lately, and needed to add to my huge collection of 1!
I found a few things at Old Navy (who can turn down $1 flip flops??) Then I headed over to Target. I found at least 10 adorable dresses. Tried them all on. But left empty handed. I was not happy with the way any of them looked on me!!
I was either too tall, too fat, too wide, too SOMETHING. With every single dress I thought dang, this would look hot if I was just 25 lbs thinner!
And I realized that's why I hate shopping. I know have a bad self image and I am working on that, believe it or not! It's depressing that I've gained 15 lbs, but I've kept off 30! I'm not where I want to be, but I've ran 4 marathons, 1 ultra, and have 3 more marathons to run this year!
I'm trying to tell myself the GOOD things my body has done, and not focus on the not so good. I'm replacing the negative thoughts, with positive ones. It's not about being skinny, it's about being healthy!
So as for now, my dress collection is still at 1.But hopefully that will change soon!
The rest of my quiet weekend will be spent watching the whole 2nd season of OITNB.
