5 Things Friday

Today is the last Friday of July! That's so hard to believe.

Here's a few highlights of my week:

1.Taking my stepson fishing. I so badly wanted to to go for a run while he was fishing, but I'm still resting my leg. Instead, I sat with him and had a very relaxing afternoon.

2. This amazing grilled cheese sandwich. I could make this every.single.day. Pesto, mozzarella and tomatoes. Heaven.

3. This weekend I'll be going to King's Island with Jeremy, the boys, and my FIL. I haven't been there in about 20 years. I liked roller coasters back then, now not so much. These days I'd rather run 100 miles than ride a roller coaster! But who knows, they may convince me to change my mind...
Sunday I'm going to a Garden Party. Doesn't that sound fancy? I love dressing up and being girly, so I'm excited about it.

This is such great news, that I need to combine 4 & 5.
I have a job interview on Tuesday! I am so excited. I may have reacted like this guy after hanging up the phone.

After working from home for 8 years, it's going to be wonderful to be out in the real world again!

Do you like roller coasters?
I haven't been on a job interview in 13 years, do you have any tips for me?

  1. Have a great time at King's Island! I like roller coasters, but I'm a lot more picky about the ones I ride now than I used to be. Congratulations on the job interview!! You will do great - just be yourself!

P.S. That grilled cheese looks amazing! :)

  5. As a person who interviews people, be yourself...there is nothing worse than people who portray something they are not in the interview...and then be hired and 1 week in to find out they are not a fit. Good luck!!

  7. I LOATHE roller coasters. The last one I went on, I gritted my teeth so bad, I broke 2 of them. Not fun.
