Dontcha hate it when...

Dontcha hate it when...

1. You spend over $100 at Old Navy, only to get home and realize you had a coupon for $30 off you didn't use.

2. You start a new job and find out they mislead you on the hours you would be working. There's a big difference between 40 and 60!
Now you're back to sending out resumes and going on interviews again.

3. You go to the store for one thing and come home with many things. But forgot to get the one thing.

4. You buy a pretty bike...
...and realize after walking it up too many hills, that this single gear bike isn't going to work.
So you return it and buy a bike with 21 gears...
Then you find out the gears don't work right.
So you decide the bike shop owner was correct when he said "buying a bike at a department store is like buying a computer at a gas station". So you return bike #2 and save your pennies for a 'real' bike.

I have many more, but that's it for now!
Do you have a "dontcha hate it when" moment you can share?

  1. I can relate to all of these! :) My contribution: Dontcha hate it when you spend an hour on your hair to walk outside and have the humidity ruin it in less than a few seconds?! Happened to me THREE times this week! I got my hair trimmed/layered after I had my baby, and I got some side bangs. WORST DECISION EVER! (remind me to NEVER get bangs again!) I have straightened my hair three days this week, and by the time I get in my car and get to where I'm going, I look in the mirror and my hair is super frizzy and curly again! And my bangs have a mind of their own! I now have to carry a comb and bobby pins with me to try and tame my crazy bangs! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

    1. Omg Carie, I could not stop laughing as I was reading this! I can't tell you how many times I thought cutting bangs was a good idea! I finally realized it was NOT. Hopefully they grow out soon!!

  3. Yes on the coupon and the grocery thing. I hate it when I forget my coffee at home in the morning, all made in the travel mug sitting on the counter.

  4. I almost always forget to use coupons. It pains me to think of all the money I could have saved!

    1. It's from Target. Yes, I think a 1 speed would be fine for neighborhoods, as long as they're not too hilly! It'd be fun to ride it around a beach town too!

  7. I do that coupon thing WAY too often.
Dang... I hate you had to return the yellow bike - so cute.
Stupid jobs. They are always ALWAYS misleading... hope you find one that fits for you.

    1. Do you know, I actually thought about just returning everything and then re-buying it too. But Old Navy is about 30 mins from me, and I didn't know when I could go back. And the coupon expired that day! :(

  9. I did the same thing today at the GAP! So annoying, BUT, if you take it back within 7 days most stores will give you your money back!

    1. Oh no!! Well, my coupon expired that day, and with Old Navy being 30 mins away, I just wasn't able to go back. Ugh. Hoping I don't do that again!!

  10. I've done the coupon thing more times then I care to count. Now I try to carry them in my wallet so I won't forget them and so far it's working!

  11. This post is too funny! Kind of like my life.. :)
About the bike.. I LOVE the yellow one, but yeah, a single gear is hard on hills. I had a similar problem, but I asked a small bike shop if they could find an older used bike to put new gears on. It was a cheap solution and nobody knows it's actually a pretty good, (but heavy) bike. It's great for workouts though!

  12. I went to the outlets and just did that same thing. Got home and realized I had a 20% off coupon. Ahhhhh

  13. I did that exact thing at the grocery yesterday. Went for ingredients for chocolate chip cookies. Didn't buy chocolate chips.

Sorry the job wasn't what you hoped! Maybe you will find a new one quickly! :)

  14. Americans call this the "sail" while in Europe it is known as the "fin".
The usual contact is always to get a grip of current smooth belonging to the bulb instead of the practiced current.

The capacitor is charged with a relatively high current of 250 to 2000 volts.
