Marathon training week 3 and a Christmas Card exchange

Last week's marathon training was non existent. I spent much of it sick, so wasn't able to run. It was miserable!
But what made it better was that my sweet Twinnie and my amazing Momma brought over some food.
Twinnie made the best broccoli cheese soup you've EVER tasted. And of course since she's my twin, she shares my obsession with ice cream, and knows it makes everything all better.

My moms famous chicken soup. To die for.

Thankfully, I'm almost all back to normal, so training has resumed/

For the first time, I signed up with the girls over at Fairytales and Fitness for their Christmas Card exchange. I received a Christmas card and a Starbucks card from Linda. It was just what I wanted! And I even got to use it today meeting a friend for eggnog latte's. Yum! Thanks Linda!

Are you guys ready for Christmas?
Honestly, I am not.
I am just not into it this year. Isn't that awful?? But it's coming whether I'm ready or not, so I need to get on the ball!

  1. That chicken soup looks REALLY good and I'm generally not a chicken soup kind of gal. You should share the recipe! I am DONE with Christmas shopping! WOOHOO! Now I just have to wrap it all, which I'm over halfway. I took an entire day off work last week and barely got just over halfway done wrapping. I HATE wrapping.

  4. Glad to hear you are feeling better! I am not prepared for the holidays at all. We aren't celebrating to mid-January and it's causing me to procrastinate. I haven't even done our holiday cards. Ooops!

  7. Soup and ice cream helps cure everything!! I'm on the ball for Christmas this year. All presents purchased, wrapped, and under the tree, Christmas cards mailed way early. This weekend, I am doing a Christmas Craft and making cookies on Friday, ex-roommate Christmas with 2 of my best friends on Saturday-really this is just an excuse to drink wine and make fancy food, and then I am hosting a cookie exchange party on Sunday. I feel like I'm darn close to being an elf this year!
