Settling in

I hope you guys had a great weekend! I got all settled into my new 'home' for the month. I found a room for rent on Airbnb.com, near Nashville.
It is kind of strange going from living in my own house, to now only having 1 room, and sharing a house with 3 roommates/strangers. But I have a nice big bedroom with a private entrance, so I'll get used to it. This month is going to be a great adventure, for sure!

Before I left, my girl Charity came over to watch the KY game. In case you didn't know, UK is undefeated this season! I sure hope they keep it up. The last time a team was undefeated was in 1976. And now you know.
Snuggling with popcorn and some drinks
My amazing family (including brother in laws, sister in law, cousin, etc.) all came over to my house Friday night. I seriously have the best family in the world. I don't know what I would do without each one of them!

And then after lunch and spending some time with Jeremy, I was off!

The people I'm staying with don't have TV, so I watched the Superbowl on my computer- alone. There was no way I was missing that! I was disappointed my Seahawks lost though.
My superbowl food? Grape tic tacs. I'm going to lose some weight this month!

This morning I'm going to find a gym to join. I haven't been to a gym in years, and I can't wait!

Did you watch the Superbowl?
What did you do this weekend?

  1. Glad you're getting all settled in. We watched the Super Bowl. We had invited friends over but got slammed with a foot of snow over the weekend, so they couldn't make it. I was sorta cheering for the Seahawks, because my team (The Packers) didn't make it to the SB
My weekend was filled with family, running (long run on Saturday), cleaning, and shoveling!

    1. I feel sorry for everyone who got tons of snow! I don't mind if I never see snow again. The Packers are my team too! I was really hoping they would make it to the SB. Oh well, maybe next year. Sounds like a perfect weekend!

  15. Doesn't airbnb rock.
Didn't watch the superbowl, no interested in it considering I live in Australia.
Did get a trail run in though, which I so needed to do, at least now I have a time to beat.

    1. I love it! This was my first time using airbnb. I'll definitely use it again! Great job on your trail run. I need to do one of those again.

  16. I spent a few days in Quebec City in 2013 using Airbnb - it was great!
No Superbowl for me - that's some sportsing event, right? Honestly, I hope people will watch me when I'm running a race, but I don't watch sports at all! Double standard!
Great to connect via Grow Your Blog - thanks!

    1. I've never used airbnb before this, but it's great! I've only recently gotten into football, my whole life I've never been into sports at all. It may be a little double standard, but totally understandable!

  19. First of all, so brave. Whatever the reason I think we all need that reset button at least once in our lives. Second, grape?! Get out. I didn't know they made grape flavor?! We went over to a friend's house for Super Bowl. A big coincidence but she is from Kentucky too!
