But hey, it's now March, that means it's almost Spring!
My long run this weekend was a 16 miler. It was freezing in TN, and I just don't run outside when it's that cold. So, off to the treadmill I went!
Amanda got me hooked on sour gummies, they've gotten me through several marathons. The EFS sports drink is amazing. I used it for the first time when I was training for my 100 mile ultra, and fell in love. I will never use anything else for long runs. (It doesn't hurt my stomach like Gatorade does, and it gives me so much energy and endurance)
My last day in TN was just spent relaxing, and enjoying the peace and quiet for the last time. Then that night I got to meet Meredith, an Instagram friend. Come to find out, last year we both ran the Carmel marathon (her first), and we finished within minutes of eachother. How crazy is that! We had a great time just hanging out and drinking sangria. Making a sweet, new friend was the perfect way to end my month long getaway.
I also ended the month with my most mileage ever! I've been running for a little over 3 years now, and I've never ran this many miles in a month. My goal for this month is at least 100 miles.
