Easter yumminess

And just like that, another weekend has flown by.

Saturday was my semi-long run. I didn't really have a set amount of miles I was planning on. My marathon training plan says 10, so I knew I would do at least that. I was also thinking maybe 15 or 20, since I haven't done a 20 miler yet, and my marathon is in 2 weeks.
But, that wasn't meant to be. I still haven't decided if I'm going to do the full, or switch to the half.
As I was running this 10, I was thinking ok, I'm only doing the half.
But then as I was driving home, I went back to thinking no, I want to do the full.

Gahhhh! I'm driving myself crazy. :)

Anyway...
We had a nice Easter. After church Jeremy and I had lunch with his Dad, while the boys went to their Mom's.
We went to Blu Italian Grille, in the Marriott. I'd never been there before, and it was delicious.
The food was amazing, we (well, I) sipped on bottomless mimosas's, as we listened to live jazz.

I promise I didn't eat all of those desserts. Just a couple bites of each!

This morning I am off to spin class and a 5 mile run. I've gotta work off all that food!

I've tricked another friend into joining me at spin. Heeheehee
Since I've been spinning, I've brought 4 or 5 friends with me, and not ONE has ever wanted to return. They always hate me afterwards, and say never again.
But I'm not giving up, hopefully this one will love it as much as I do! :)

Thank you Tara, at Running 'N' Reading for the linkup!

How was your Easter?
Did you run or race this weekend?

  1. Oh, my gosh...that meal looks incredible! And I love the pictures of you and your family; that pink dress looks so nice on you, Katie. I love spin class; I can't imagine NOT wanting to return, but it's definitely a tough workout! I like it because it's such good cross training for us runners. Thanks so much for linking up with the blog today; hope you had a great workout this morning and that your week is off to a good start!

  2. I love how carefree you are about your long runs! You're just like 10 miles, 15, 20, whatever ;) I've been in that situation going back and forth between a half and a full...I wish I knew what to tell you about that.I could never get people to return to spin class with me either!

    1. Thanks Mark! I really don't know the name of the desserts. They had a bunch of different desserts out, and there were a few cards spread around saying what they were, but they weren't in any kind of order, so I didn't know what was what. I just grabbed what looked good. They were all delicious!

  6. I loved spin my first class, but I needed to get used to that bike seat. Even now, I can tell when I haven't been to spin in a while because the bike seat hurts.

    1. Yea, that seat definitely takes some getting used to! It took me about 3 times of going, before it didn't hurt anymore. But it's so worth it!

  7. I very rarely put in a 20 before a marathon, usually a a few 18's are plenty. So I wouldn't let that bother you, but again go with what you think is best. You know your body and how you've trained so use that as your indicator for your decision. Either way, I bet it will be the right one:)
How fun, spin! That's one of those things I have always wanted to try, but never have:)

  9. I say better safe than sorry, so if you haven't gotten in a good 18 or 20 miler beforehand switch to the half.
There is no shame in the half.
I spent all of last year and am spending all this year focused on the half.
