I'm so glad it's Friday! And next week is Spring break, so I'm off all week. It's going to be glorious.
Tomorrow I'm running half #20, Run the Bluegrass.
I still have a hard time believing it! My very first half was Sep. 2012. I remember the start of my running journey. I remember the exact moment when I said to myself after finishing a 5k, "there's no way I can ever run more than 3 miles!!"
How things have changed! I am so glad they have, because I absolutely adore running.
Last night I went to the expo and packet pickup. I ran into a couple friends I hadn't seen in a long time, which is always fun!
Instead of a tshirt, we got this awesome hoodie. And it's actually true to size, for once!
Weight loss update:
As of this morning, 3 weeks after starting Medifast, I have lost 11 lbs. It's amazing how different I feel just from 11 lbs!
Week 1: 6.5 lbs
Week 2: 1/2 lb
Week 3: 4 bs
I was so disappointed with week 2, but then I remembered even the Biggest Loser contestants have horrible second weeks, no matter what. Glad I stuck with it!
The course for the race tomorrow is super hilly. Probably the hilliest course I've ran. (I did this race a couple years ago) I always try to do my best and give it my all, but I'm not going to stress about it.
I'm going to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the horse farms, the horses running along side of us, and even the rolling hills.
And I'll be incredibly thankful that I get to do this!
