Hi! Thank you for stopping by my blog.

 I started my running journey in 2011. I was overweight and miserable.
I remember every time I would see a runner, thinking "I wish I could do that".
Finally, I realized there's no reason I can't! So I decided to sign up for a 5k. I remember training for that, and I could only run for 30 seconds and had to stop and walk because I was so out of breath.
 But this was something I desperately wanted to do, so I kept at it.

The feeling I had crossing that first finish line was unbelievable. And that triggered an obsession with running that I will have the rest of my life.
I wanted to do more, and run further, so I signed up for a half marathon, and then in April 2012, I ran my first marathon.

I have since ran 19 half marathons, and 5 marathons. I even attempted a 100 miler, but had to DNF at mile 33, due to bronchitis and a sinus infection. I may attempt that again someday.

I've lost 30 lbs. since I began running. My weight is something I struggle with daily, but I will conquer that someday too.
